    Tutoring

    Metropolitan State students have multiple options to obtain tutoring:

    • On-campus, in person at the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE). The CAE has professional and peer tutors to help you develop your skills and help you learn.
    • Online, using tutor.com (visit D2L). Tutor.com is a 24/7, commercial tutoring platform for students at all colleges and universities in the Minnesota State system.

    The CAE offers expert tutoring in an evaluation-free setting for Accounting, Economics & Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics & Symbolic Logic, Science; Biology, Chemistry, Geology & Physics, Writing.

    Academic Advising

    Your academic advisor wants to help you identify challenges and successes in your academic journey, and make choices based on how you can best achieve your goals.

    Career Center

    Career Services can help you choose a major or help you decide if you are in the right major. You might want to enroll in PSYC 107: Career Planning and Development, PSYC 108: Career and Life Planning for Women.

    Counseling Services

    Counseling Services, free to enrolled students, provides confidential services to address personal issues that impact student success. Services include individual and group therapy, consultation, workshops, and skill building.

    Center for Accessibility Resources

    The Center for Accessibility Resources provides access to University programs and services by making reasonable accommodations for qualified students.     Additional Student Support Services

    Metropolitan State University offers many resources and support services for international students, multicultural students, veterans, women, LGBTQA, TRIO, and for student organizations and leadership development.

    The Student Parent Center provides a child-friendly study space, support, family-friendly activities, and resources to help better balance school and caregiving obligations.

    Food for Thought is a campus food pantry, providing grab-and-go and grocery items. The food pantry is open to all students.

    Metro 101: Your Academic Journey

    Metro 101 is a semester-long course to support your educational success and help you gain the problem-solving strategies, knowledge, skills and confidence to make the best academic choices so you can reach your goals. The course is especially for students new to college, students who have been away for several years, or students struggling with the transition to the university.
